Alex 2 Beach is a small beach that is out of the way, and not usually packed with people. If you want to get away from Patong, this is about as far as you can get. How this beach came to be named Alex 2 – is anyone’s guess. Someone knows the story, but we cannot find it online. If you know, let us know!
The sand is nice, there are large rocks all over the beach, and it adds to the raw coast environment. There are very few people on this beach.
Alex 2 is a rocky beach that is great for sitting around and enjoying the solitude of southern Phuket on a beach surrounded with dense trees and very little if any sound from passing traffic on the road above.
It’s easy to visit one of the most popular natural attractions on Phuket Island before or after you see Alex 2 Beach. Go see Promthep Cape, just a short drive West of Alex 2 Beach.
There are no activities here for you to do unless you can bring a kayak or paddleboard down from the villas where you stay here. Whatever you bring to do, that's what you have. Bring a flying disc; bring a drone to take videos and photos of the shore (register with Thai police first); bring snorkeling gear, and don’t forget to bring a beach mat.

Baan Khunying – Secluded Phuket Beachfront Villa
Baan Khunying is a colonial-style 3-bedroom villa perched on a hill overlooking a rocky section of the coast between Alex 2 and Sangchai beaches and near Pak Pahng Beach. The highlight of this villa is the remote location, with a private walk down to Sangchai Beach. It is also very close to Alex 2 Beach so you can have a choice between the two.
This is also the nearest accommodation for Pak Pahng Beach to the East.
Food reviews were positive and some cited the prices as not extravagant at all. Room rates are a mystery, you need to book on their website to see what the rates are.
